Amitabh Bachchan Mistakenly Credits Late Father Harivansh Rai Bachchan For A Poem Penned By Prasoon Joshi; Rectifies His Error
Amitabh Bachchan is one of the most active celebrities on social media. Big B has been using his social media platform to spread awareness and motivate people as we go through this difficult time. On Tuesday, as many are aware, Big B had posted a video where he can be seen reciting a Hindi poem 'Ruke Na Tu'. In the now-removed video, Big B had claimed that the words were penned by his father, Harivansh Rai Bachchan. However, the poem is actually written by poet-lyricist Prasoon Joshi.

On Wednesday, Big B took to social media to rectify his mistake. He shared the same video on Twitter, editing out the portion where he mentions that the poem was written by his father and gave credit to Prasoon Joshi. Sharing the video, Big B wrote, "Ruke Na Tu Ke Rachaiyta: Prasoon Joshi."

For the uninitiated, in the video, after reciting the poem, Big B was heard saying, "These words, written by my father Dr Harivansh Rai Bachchan, are a clarion call that reminds us to never give up. They were written at a time the country faced a different crisis and challenge, but even today, they resonate. I believe these words celebrate the spirit of the COVID warriors, our frontlines workers, who, as we all know, are sacrificing so much for all of us. It is time we support them and bolster the fight against COVID. This is our fight. We can contribute in whatever way we can. We must all come together for India."

On the other hand, Big B recently made a donation of Rs 2 crore to Delhi's Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Covid care centre. He has also arranged oxygen cylinders from abroad for the facility. The president of Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management committee Manjinder Singh Sirsa thanked Big B for his contribution and said that Big B called Sikhs legendary.
